DLCA EDUCATES BEFORE IT REGULATES RETAILERS AND WHOLESALERS OF FOOD
The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) Environmental Division will host a series of three (3) educational town halls with licensed Grocery Retailers and Wholesalers on the Federal and Local laws regarding food safety and quality. Town halls will take place as follows:
St. Croix:Date: Tuesday, November 19, 2019
Location: Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center Room from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
St. John: Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Location: Cleone Henrietta Creque Legislative Building Time: 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.
St. Thomas: Date: Thursday, November 21, 2019Location: Property & Procurement Sub Base first floor conference room
Time: 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. “The people of the Virgin Islands deserve the best quality food for purchase” stated Commissioner Evangelista. “DLCA insists wholesalers and retailers provide better products to the consumers. DLCA shall continue to educate before we regulate.” All interested persons are invited to attend these town halls.
