ST. THOMAS, USVI (CBS USVI) — If you’re looking to take in some theater, Pistarckle Theater in St. Thomas might have something for you. USVI Correspondent Kellie Meyer stopped by the rehearsal of their latest show. Her interview below.

KM: I am here at Pistarckle Theater with Priscilla Lynn the Director of Marketing here and we’re talking about an upcoming production. You can probably hear it in the background as they’re practicing. Can you tell us more about that Priscilla?
PL: Oh well it’s a very exciting season here at Pistarckle we start off with Dream Girls which starts next week and it runs the 12th-27th. We’ve got a large cast almost a dozen locals. All Island residents featured in all of our plays. And it’s just an amazing story about a Motown Trio and their rise to fame.
KM: And this starts as you said Oct 11 I believe then kicks off the 12th.
PL: Yes the 11 we actually do what is called a pay as you can night everybody can come and just make a donation if they like. It’s our final dress rehearsal but it’s a full scale play make no mistake about it and we always get a good crowd of people on that night as well.
KM: And if people happen to miss Dream girls there are plenty of other productions happening throughout the season.
PL: Oh yes, we’ve got a great season for 2018-2019 of 6 plays and there you can see them in the background here the posters. One of the plays is going to be a play by a local playwright as well.
