ST. THOMAS, USVI – On August 24 at roughly 7:30 a.m., Christopher Bryan, age 35 of Lerkenlund and Kevin Laplace II, age 27 of Lower Hull turned themselves in to police. The men were charged with 3rd Degree Assault, Simple Assault & Battery, and Disturbance of the Peace by Fighting, relating to an incident on August 12.
Bryan and Laplace were identified as the men who assaulted another man in Mandahl Bay. Bryan allegedly attempted to strangle the victim, while Laplace aided in the assault by restraining the victim.
Bail for Bryan and Laplace was set at $50,000 each. Unable to post bail, the men were turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending their Advice of Rights hearings.
