WASHINGTON, D.C. – As we get closer to the November elections, Senate Democrats are prepping to push back against any attempts that would undermine election results.
Senate Democrats and election integrity watchdogs held a forum Tuesday on Capitol Hill highlighting ways state and local officials can reassure the public our elections are valid and secure. For years the President claimed election fraud and spread doubt about our election’s integrity after he lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden. President Trump has previously suggested Republicans should “nationalize” elections and most recently, has claimed without proof that democrats were cheating in California’s primaries.
“As Trump gears up to interfere in our elections and discount the votes of the American people, Senate Democrats election protection task force is preparing to protect the independence of American’s elections,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D- NY) Senate Minority Leader.
The President’s various claims about the 2020 election results have been investigated and litigated. Judges found that those claims were without merit.
